AccuMix Pharmacy joins the American Pharmacists Association
AccuMix Pharmacy is now a member of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the oldest and largest professional association of pharmacists in the United States. Founded in 1852, APhA represents pharmacists across every practice setting, from community and hospital pharmacy to compounding, research and public health.
Why it matters to us
Compounding is a small corner of pharmacy, and it is easy for a specialty pharmacy to talk only to other compounders. APhA keeps us connected to the wider profession: its practice standards, its continuing-education programs for our pharmacists, and its work on the policy questions that shape what pharmacies can do for patients. For a pharmacy that fills prescriptions in 40 states and Washington, DC, that broader view is useful every week.
Part of a larger effort
APhA joins our memberships of the American College of Apothecaries, the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding and PCCA, our LegitScript certification, and our application for NABP Digital Pharmacy Accreditation, which is in progress. Each is a way for the pharmacy to be measured against standards set by someone other than itself, and you will find all of them in the “Member of” band at the bottom of our pages.
