Questions from local patients
Frequently asked
Do I need an appointment to pick up?
No. Once we text you that your prescription is ready, come to Suite 240 at 655 W Grand Ave during business hours and bring a photo ID.
Can my own doctor prescribe through you?
Yes. Any provider licensed in Illinois can send a prescription to AccuMix by eRx or fax; they do not need an account first. Our Refer Your Provider page has everything they need.
Do you deliver locally?
We ship by tracked carrier, and most Illinois addresses receive their package the next business day after it ships. Cold-chain medications go in insulated packaging with coolant.
Is a compounding pharmacy different from my regular pharmacy?
A regular pharmacy dispenses manufactured, FDA-approved medications. A 503A compounding pharmacy like AccuMix prepares a medication for one patient, in the strength and form that patient's provider prescribes, when a manufactured product does not fit. We also stock a small number of generic tablets. Everything we dispense requires a prescription.
Can I reach a pharmacist after hours?
Yes. A pharmacist is on call 24/7. Call 866-817-5303 and, outside business hours, choose the after-hours option to be connected directly to the pharmacist.
Do you take insurance?
No. AccuMix is a cash-pay pharmacy. We accept HSA and FSA cards and provide itemized receipts you can submit to your plan if it offers out-of-network reimbursement.
