Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

AccuMix prepares patient-specific HRT—including bioidentical estrogens, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA—in sterile and non-sterile dosage forms to match your provider’s plan.

Why hormones matter

Hormones influence energy, sleep, mood, metabolism, bone health, and sexual function. Levels can shift with age, medications, surgery, or medical conditions. When symptoms and clinical evaluation indicate a deficiency or imbalance, your clinician may consider hormone therapy—alongside nutrition, activity, and sleep support.

AccuMix compounds patient-specific HRT only after receiving a valid prescription. Compounded medications are prepared under federal/state regulations and USP standards; they are not reviewed or approved by the FDA.

HRT options we compound (tailored to your prescription)

For women (BHRT)

Estrogens: typically estradiol (E2) ± estriol (E3) in topical creams/gels or troches; vaginal dosage forms for local symptoms where appropriate.
Progesterone: oral capsules, troches/ODTs, topical preparations; vaginal suppositories when clinically indicated.
Androgens (as appropriate): low-dose DHEA or testosterone for select use cases per prescriber direction and state rules.

For men (HRT/TRT)

Testosterone: sterile injectable formulations (per prescriber), or topical gels/creams and troches.
Adjuncts (as prescribed): DHEA or other supportive therapies when clinically appropriate.

Additive/support statement (kept non-specific):
Your medication may be prepared with an additive intended to support tolerability and energy/fatigue management, when reque sted by your prescriber and appropriate for the formulation.

Physiologic Rhythmic HRT (rHRT)

Some clinicians use physiologic rhythmic HRT to mimic natural monthly patterns with day-to-day dose adjustments, typically using transdermal estradiol and progesterone. If your prescriber uses a rhythmic protocol, AccuMix can compound to match your daily calendar.

Who is HRT for?

Your provider determines suitability based on symptoms, history, exam, and—when indicated—lab testing. HRT isn’t one-size-fits-all; dose, route, and goals are individualized and periodically reassessed. AccuMix compounds exactly what your prescriber orders.

Safety & expectations (patient education)

  • Common experiences: As therapy is adjusted, some patients notice changes in mood, energy, sleep, skin, sexual function, or cycle patterns.
  • Follow the plan: Use exactly as directed; do not change dose without your clinician’s guidance.
  • Missed dose or side effects: Follow your label’s instructions and contact your prescriber or our pharmacy team with questions.

Storage & handling: Follow the label. Apply topicals as instructed; keep all medications out of reach of children and pets.
