What forms are compounded medications available in?
AccuMix prepares medications in a wide range of sterile and non-sterile dosage forms so your prescriber can match the therapy to your needs.
Sterile (USP <797>)
- Injectables: Subcutaneous/IM vials or prefilled syringes
- IV preparations: Custom admixtures per provider protocol
- Ophthalmics: Sterile eye drops/ointments
Non-sterile (USP <795>)
- Capsules: Immediate-release or sustained-release
- Oral liquids: Solutions/suspensions (flavoring available when appropriate)
- Sublinguals/troches/ODTs: For under-tongue or buccal use
- Topicals: Creams, gels, ointments, lotions, foams
- Transdermals: Gels/creams for through-the-skin delivery
- Suppositories: Rectal or vaginal
- Nasal preparations: Sprays/rinses when clinically appropriate
